I guess I'd say in the line of technology experience I have not learned much more than the average college student. I took classes in Elementary through High School and now in college about computers and have had one at home as far back as I can remember. Technology in the sense of everyday use, I would say I've used the basic items/forms of technology that many Americans use everyday; i.e. cars, home appliances, electricity, etc. I think I use it a lot more than I realize too.
In this class I hope to learn more of the details of many programs I use everyday. I feel like this generation has a knack for picking up a new piece of technology and figuring out how to use it by just testing it out until it does what we need it to. Although I use Microsoft Word almost everyday there are a lot of helpful tools in the program that could make my use time much quicker, easier, and possibly even looking more professional. Along with basic things like Microsoft Word, there are many different applications that I have never/rarely used that would be very helpful to know.
I'm from New York (no, not NYC) and a sophomore here at FSU. I love to spend time with my family and friends at home, and new friends here. I have a long list of places I plan to travel to and things I would like to do in my life and hope to achieve many of them while in college by using the study abroad program. I really enjoy watching movies and just hanging out and eating, especially when it's movies I've never seen and food I've never tried! I like almost any type of food and movies -- basically just no scary but I especially lovee Disney. I really like to play sports like tennis and basketball and also other outdoor activites, but also shopping of course!
